E-CLUB PROGRAM

PRESIDING TODAY IS:  Rick Phalunas, Former President

bellDing! We’re now in session.

Welcome all – Visitors, fellow Rotarians and guests alike to this E-Club program!

Remember the smiling pot. Donations to our E-Club help support our service projects.

We’d like to respectfully remind all visitors that if they would like to contribute the normal cost of a meal for your makeup, we would be grateful. These funds go directly to our many and varied service projects around the world. You can make a contribution in the Donation box on the homepage. Or you can write a check to:  Rotary E-Club of District 7530 and mail it to Treasurer MSRE, 115 Hoffman Avenue, Morgantown, WV 26505.

Four-Way Test

At the beginning of each meeting we remind ourselves of the The Four-Way Test.  Therefore, please remember to ask yourself always . . .

Of the things we think, say or do:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

A Reflective Moment

Program:  District Governor's Virtual Visit

It is an honor to introduce to you David Raese, the 2016-17 Governor of District 7530.

David Raese has been in Rotary for over 20 years. He is married to Kathleen and has two daughters - Rebecca and Isabel, and two sons - Ethan and Adam.  Son Adam has been a Rotaractor, and now is a member of the Morgantown Rotary Club.

Our Governor, as an active member of the Rotary Club of Morgantown for two decades, has served on every committee the club has to offer, he has progressed through all the officer ranks on the Board (at least once, and in some cases more so), and he has served as President of the club.

Governor Dave has attended seven International Conferences, and participated in the West Africa Project Fair and Polio Immunization.  He has hosted three exchange students with whom he continues contact, and he has been team leader for a short term youth exchange to Kolkata, India.  He is a graduate of, and now serves as a facilitator for, the Rotary Leadership Institute.  And, in 2003-2004, David received the District’s highest honor as recipient of District 7530’s Governor’s Award.

For his “day job,” David Raese is the Editor and part owner of WV Newspaper Publishing Company, of West Virginia Radio Corporation and of Greer Industries.  He is a WVU graduate in journalism - which might explain his expertise in the newspaper business.

David lives the Four Way Test:  In what we say and do . . . Is it the truth, Is it fair to all concerned, Will it build good will and better friendships, and Will it be beneficial to all concerned.  He is very devoted to Rotary – not only in spirit, but also in action!  And finally, speaking from many personal interactions with Governor Dave, I can honestly say that as your Governor, he is truly committed to advancing opportunity for Rotarians in District 7530 to provide service above self to accomplish Rotary causes!

Please welcome Governor David Raese, Governor of District 7530, as our speaker this week.
